The exhibition features more than 40 images documenting various aspects of Telangana. The exhibition is divided into 4 sections. The Destitues, Lambadas, Village Life & Faith.
Prabhakar Kusuma, a "Fellow of The Royal Photographic Society of Great Britain" started his photographic journey when he joined the Federation of Indian Photography in 1977. The refined aesthetics manifested in his works are born of his very long experience in the art and science of photography. Despite many technical advances in photography, he firmly believes that, "Photography is more human, intuitive and less mechanical".
His pictures have been featured in many books, magazines and newspapers. He served as Jury for many National and International Photography Salons. He served as Working Committee Member for Andhra Pradesh State Academy of Photography in 1987-91 and for Federation of Indian Photography in 1993-96. His pictures are in the collection of Federation Internationale de L'Art Photographique, Belgium; UNICEF; COMPIX, London; Kakatiya University, Telangana, India; Ford Foundation Project; Silk Route, Florida, USA and University of Hamburg, Germany. He had served as Faculty at many photography workshops right from 1987, the latest being "National Master Artists' Workshop 2017", organized by State University of Performing & Visual Arts, Rohtak, India. He was a native of the historical town Warangal in Telangana state and lived in Hyderabad since 1995.
